Polish Senate debates Holocaust bill that has angered Israel
WARSAW, Republic of Poland – The Polish Senate has begun debating a law regulation Holocaust speech that has sparked a diplomatic dispute with Israel.
Senate approval, expected late Wednesday or Thursday, can place the contentious bill a step nearer to turning into law. It should still be signed into law by the president, World Health Organization supports it.
Poland's conservative ruling Law and Justice party authored the bill. It foresees up to a few years of jail for any intentional arrange to incorrectly attribute the crimes of Nazi Germany to the Polish state or folks.
Law and Justice says it's fighting the usage of phrases like "Polish death camps" to ask death camps operated by Nazi Germany.
